Efficiently Eliminate Burrs from ID of Grip

gun part case study

This aluminum grip had many class 3 burrs on the ID of the grip after machining. The Weiler Bore-Rx™ product was keenly suited to remove these as it is much more dense and aggressive than a tube brush.

The part was deburred in a CNC by plunging the 1 ½” diameter brush down the ID at 20” per minute. The brush was first rotated clockwise, then counter-clockwise, both at 2800 RPM. Coolant was used to achieve longer brush life and an improved finish.
